I have so mamy lovely memories of my Grandma Peggy...visiting in the summer holidays and accompanying her to work, going on walks and having my hair brushed. Luckily for me my hair was less knotty than my sisters. I also remember being so proud of my Grandma wizzing about in her car when many other Grandma's I knew didn't even drive.

We would be excited about visiting 'the countryside', which was so important to my Grandma and Grandad. The joy of looking for slow worms snd picking strawberries was something my own children also enjoyed when visiting their Great Grandma. I think of Grandma and Grandad when I'm in my allotment and hope to carry some of that part of them with me.

We loved visiting on boxing day too, pulling crackers and enjoying a festive spread. Looking back I feel so lucky that we have had such a wonderful Grandma and Great Grandma in our lives.
